Employers typically utilize decimal hours to calculate work week pay. They accept the number of hours worked in a week in decimal form, and multiply that by the rate of pay. If you lot worked 41:xv, 41 hours and 15 minutes, how would you lot calculate your total pay?
You lot need to convert the hh:mm time of 41:15 to decimal hours.
Converting from Minutes to Decimal Hours
Yous worked 41 whole hours, and then that will be the same in decimal hours. You only need to convert fifteen minutes into decimal hours.
- Take your number of minutes and divide past lx. In this case your partial 60 minutes is 15 minutes:
15/sixty = 0.25 - Add your whole hours back in to get 41.25 hours. So 41 hours, fifteen minutes equals 41.25 hours.
- Multiply your rate of pay by decimal hours to become your full pay earlier taxes.
In Reverse, Converting from Decimal Hours to Minutes
